The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden

Located in the Dallas Lake & Garden District, the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is a 66-acre display garden that features a variety of beautiful gardens. In addition to the various gardens, the Arboretum offers special events and education programs that are open to the public. The Garden is a great place to visit with your family or on a romantic date. Each of the gardens is surrounded by beautiful landscaping.

The main central walkway is called The Paseo. It features a small courtyard and occasional views of White Rock Lake. There is also a stacked stone wall that reflects gorgeous rose varieties. There are also seasonal flowers in the Margaret Elizabeth Jonsson Color Garden. The Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden has 150 exhibits that children can explore. The Children’s Garden also has an Exploration Center with canopied walkways.

The Dallas Botanical Garden has an estimated value of $2,504,499. The garden is managed by the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Society (DABS). The society manages day-to-day operations and the day-to-day expenses of the garden. The cost of operating the garden is subsidized by members and donors.

The Arboretum and Botanical Garden offers several seasonal events, such as the Food and Wine Festival and the Dallas Blooms. The Dallas Blooms is one of the largest floral festivals in the Southwest. It was named America’s Best Spring Floral Festival by Fodor’s Travel in 2015. During the festival, the garden is decorated with half a million flowers. In addition to the garden, the festival also features a wide array of entertainment and food. In addition to the festivals, Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens also hosts a variety of special events. In the summer, the Arboretum hosts the Cool Thursdays Concert Series. The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical garden has a Master Plan that includes the extension of the tram path. The cost to park at the Arboretum is $15 per car. The cost to visit the gardens is $15 per adult and $3 per child. Tickets to the Arboretum are available in limited quantities at City of Dallas recreation centers. The Dallas Arboretum and Gardens is open to the public from 9am to 5pm daily. For those who wish to visit the gardens before the crowds, the Arboretum offers Early Morning Walks at 7am and again at 9am. The walk takes about two hours and gives visitors a chance to explore the gardens at their own pace.

In addition to the gardens, the Arboretum also features a complete life science laboratory. It is one of the premier warm weather plant trials programs in the world. The Arboretum also has an adult education program. This includes learning to make cocktails from plants, painting roses, and more.

The Dallas Arboretum and Garden is open to the public from April to September. It is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day. The Arboretum is a popular spot for photographers.
