The Futuro House is one of 64 of these homes in the world. Originally designed by a Finnish architect, the Futuro House is an architectural icon. While the location of Futuro House Texas is rarely disclosed, the property includes a dome home with a large deck overlooking the city. Another part of the property has a metal barn with concrete floors and a Tesla charging station. This property has all the equipment necessary for a working cattle ranch.
The Futuro House was originally designed by Finnish architect Matti Suuronen as a ski cabin. The prefabricated design meant that it could be mass-produced and transported almost anywhere. It could be assembled in two days and could be airlifted to its final location. Unlike other prefabricated homes, the Futuro house is a transportable home that can be mass-produced and placed in virtually any environment.
The fibre-glass-reinforced-plastic house is fast to construct and efficient to heat. The architect also created it so that it could be easily assembled off-site and mounted on piers. This unique design quickly gained a worldwide following and spread to other parts of the world.
As far as numbers go, there are only fifty Futuro houses in the world. Three of these buildings are in Texas. This makes it a rare sight in Texas. But, the history of these homes is worth learning. A few of them are still standing today. Hopefully, the history of futuristic homes will continue. View the next article
